3️⃣ Secure Important Documents – Gather crucial documents such as passports, birth/marriage/death certificates, insurance policies, and medical records. Store them in a waterproof, fireproof folder and place them somewhere easy to access in an emergency.
4️⃣ Prepare a Grab-Bag – Pack a bag with essentials in case of evacuation - copies of important documents, medications and first aid kit, emergency contacts, non-perishable food and water, torch and batteries, change of clothes and sturdy shoes.
5️⃣ Protec Valuables and Essentials – In case of floods, keep sentimental items, electronics and important papers off the floor. Secure heavy furniture, and other sentimental items to walls, and avoid storing breakables on high shelves to prevent damage in an earthquake.
